Comprendre les enjeux de l'agriculture

Hundreds of thousands of microalgae float on the surface of the world’s seas and oceans. Only a fraction of them have been studied. The findings are amazing. Suffice it to say they have unlimited potential. Microalgae can be turned into biofuels, food protein, animal food and plastics. For the time being it is their environmental benefits that are attracting the most attention. All the microalgae in our seas capture more carbon dioxide and produce more oxygen than all the planet’s tropical forests combined. It is claimed that they, and not the Amazon, are the lungs of the Earth.
