Comprendre les enjeux de l'agriculture

For the time being, the planet is not in danger of suffering from food shortages and agriculture from production crises. However, the protectionist measures taken by many States are raising the ghost of the food crises of 2008 and 2011, caused by the explosion of costs, which have led to political and economic turbulence throughout the world. Currently, the coronavirus crisis is disrupting global agricultural production and trade. But there is an even greater danger because it is uncontrollable: weather. Drought has already pushed countries such as Russia and Kazakhstan to enact temporary export bans on wheat. The rest of Europe has not been spared, including France and Romania. Argentina is experiencing an historic drought.
