From April 18 to 20, 2024, the 33rd FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization) Regional Conference for Africa was held in Rabat, Morocco, under the theme ” Transforming agri-food systems in Africa for better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life “.
This year, the FAO Conference focused on transforming agri-food systems in Africa, with the aim of making them more resilient, sustainable and equitable. This event brought together government representatives, agricultural experts, NGOs and other key stakeholders to discuss food security, sustainability and agricultural innovation, at the local and regional level. The main topics covered included sustainable agriculture, the use of modern technologies, supporting policies and the involvement of youth and women. This conference will help to better identify and address food challenges in Africa and thus promote healthier, sustainable and inclusive agriculture.
