Soil Capital is a European program that aims to support the development of soil conservation practices (reduced tillage, cover crop usage, extended rotations, etc.) to improve carbon retention capabilities and combat climate change.
Fabien Driat is a wheat and rapeseed farmer in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. For about twenty years, he has been managing over 300 hectares. He embarked onw this agricultural journey, filled with technical and agronomic challenges, leading him to contemplate a new approach to his farming profession.
He has committed to the carbon remuneration program with Soil Capital. In two years, he has already received about 667 carbon certificates and shares his experience with other farmers eager to transition towards net storage, a balance between soil input and atmospheric emissions.
