Comprendre les enjeux de l'agriculture

Kenyan investment fund Catalyst has raised $8.6 million, which it plans to use to support 40 innovative startups in the fight against climate change.

This funding aligns with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will be allocated in several tranches, ranging from $200,000 to $1.5 million each.

The UK government contributed $4.5 million through its FSD Africa platform, with the rest coming from contributions from various funders: Cisco, Prosper Africa (USAID), as well as investor Andrew Bredenkamp.

The various fundraising rounds have raised a total of $40 million to support the implementation of climate actions on the African continent, focusing on sustainable food systems, access to water, renewable energy, and the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems.
