Comprendre les enjeux de l'agriculture

According to the 4th International Biostimulants Conference which took place in Barcelona in November, the global biostimulants market should reach turnover of $3 billion in 2021 (source: EBIC and Dunham Trimmer). Europe is and will remain the top market for biostimulants for the next 5 years, with France in the top 3 main users in Europe. Algae extracts and humic substances remain the main raw materials which are a source of biostimulants, with around 1/3 market share for each of the two categories.  Next are microbial biostimulants which already constitute 10% of market share. Prof. Du Jardin from the University of Liège explains that the joint development of biostimulants and management methods offered by precise agricultural technologies create exciting prospects for the agriculture of the future.
